A Paradox Big Game Scenario
Paradox Games hosted a Big Game Scenario at their Logan Scenario field on May 12, 2007
The objective was simple: deliver more soda than the other guy. Coke and Pepsi squared off yet again in this daylong battle for supremacy.
Desert Edge, led by Tim Saunders, captained up the Pepsi team against the combined forces of Suppresor and Bad Karma, representing Coke. The day started out with Pepsi taking an early lead in scoring, only to lose ground to strong resistance from Coke. After continued market saturation from Coke delivery men, lunch break came, and Pepsi was able to lure a few Coke employees to bolster their flagging forces. Once the balance of power was restored, the fight for store space resumed, this time with the two sides showing strong and balanced competition. At the close of business, Coke showed domination of the market, outselling Pepsi almost two to one.
And now, the less colorful description: Red team dominated the field with strong teamwork from Suppressor and Bad Karma all morning against a reduced sized DE squad and various walk-on players. After lunch, some players were reassigned from Red to Blue, giving slightly more even odds. Even in the face of losing 5 players, Red showed good coordination and teamwork to continue their strong attacks against Blue.
The day passed with good sportsmanship all around. The only thing to get heated all day was the temperature (90 degrees!). At the end of the day, Tim's son, Nick, took home a case of paint for youngest player and Brad took one for oldest. All in all, it was a fun day of paintball for the 60 or so players on the field and another good game format from Allen and the Paradox Games team.
Brad "Bad Mojo" Oakley was voted Team MVP for the event.
